Terms of Service

You may use the service only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with these Terms and applicable law. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The service is not intended for children under the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction without appropriate parental or guardian consent.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not share your login credentials, resell account access, use another person's account without permission, or create accounts to evade limits, safety controls, or enforcement.

You must provide accurate account information and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

The service may offer free, trial, and paid plans. Features, message limits, model access, upload limits, and other plan benefits may vary by plan and may change over time for operational, security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe Checkout and managed through the Stripe customer portal. Prices, billing interval, renewal terms, trial length, taxes, and payment details are shown during checkout. By starting a paid subscription or trial that converts to a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges according to the terms shown at checkout unless you cancel before renewal or before the trial converts, as applicable.

You may manage or cancel your subscription through your account billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and fees already paid are not refundable or prorated.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card number.

Theologie.ai is an informational and educational tool. It is not a priest, confessor, spiritual director, therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, tax advisor, emergency service, or substitute for qualified professional care.

The service cannot administer sacraments, hear confession, grant absolution, provide pastoral authority, or make binding determinations for the Catholic Church. For sacramental care, pastoral care, emergencies, or high-stakes professional decisions, contact an appropriate qualified person or emergency service.

The service is designed with a Catholic lens and aims to provide respectful, Catholic-aligned assistance. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Theologie.ai is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking on behalf of the Vatican, any diocese, parish, religious order, bishop, priest, or official Church authority.

Responses may summarize, quote, or cite Catholic sources, Scripture, theological works, Church documents, or current web sources, but those responses should be verified against authoritative sources when accuracy is important.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, offensive, or not suited to your situation. Output may not be unique; other users may receive similar or identical responses. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying output before relying on it, publishing it, sending it, or using it in any consequential setting.

Citations, local sources, web sources, and source summaries are provided to improve transparency, but source coverage may be incomplete and web sources may change, become unavailable, or contain errors.

You are responsible for prompts, messages, documents, images, feedback, and other content you submit or upload. Do not submit content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to do so. Do not upload sensitive third-party information unless you are authorized and it is appropriate for the service.

You grant Theologie.ai permission to host, process, transmit, store, display, and analyze your content as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. Attachment handling, retention, and privacy practices are described further in our Privacy Policy.

As between you and Theologie.ai, you retain your rights in content you submit. Subject to these Terms, applicable law, and any third-party rights, you may use output generated for you. You are responsible for determining whether your use of any output is lawful and appropriate.

Theologie.ai and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, design, branding, source organization, prompts, retrieval systems, models, workflows, documentation, and other platform materials. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or create a competing service from the platform except as allowed by law.

You may not use the service to:

• violate law, infringe rights, commit fraud, or facilitate phishing or scams;
• harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, dox, or impersonate others;
• create, request, or distribute sexual content involving minors or exploitative content;
• generate explicit sexual content, pornographic content, or content that violates our faith and safety boundaries;
• facilitate self-harm, violence, weapons misuse, cyber abuse, evasion, or other wrongdoing;
• generate blasphemous, sacrilegious, hateful, or dehumanizing content;
• upload malware, harmful files, or content you are not allowed to share;
• bypass, disable, or test safety controls, rate limits, entitlement checks, or security protections;
• automate excessive requests, scrape the service, or burden infrastructure;
• misrepresent AI-generated output as human-generated where disclosure is legally or ethically required.

We may block, limit, remove, or refuse content or requests; suspend or terminate accounts; restrict features; or take other action when needed for safety, security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, billing integrity, or product reliability.

The service may change over time. We may add, remove, suspend, limit, or modify features, models, integrations, source access, usage limits, or plan benefits.

The service relies on third-party providers for AI responses, authentication, database/storage, analytics, billing, web-source access, hosting, email, and related operations. These providers may include OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe, Google, Apple, Vercel, and others. Their terms, policies, availability, and technical limitations may apply to your use of the service.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, data handling outside our control, or services accessed through external links.

If you send feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or feature requests, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation, while you retain any rights you may have in the original feedback.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, error-free, or available at any particular time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Theologie.ai, Theologie, LLC, and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; loss of goodwill; service interruption; or reliance on AI output.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Theologie.ai for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars if you did not pay for the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Theologie.ai, Theologie, LLC, and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your use or misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, failed to pay amounts owed, abused the service, or used the service in a way that could harm users, third parties, Theologie.ai, or service providers.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You and Theologie, LLC agree that disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may require renewed acceptance before continued use. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
